Fosmork National Park, Torsmok or Thorsmork (Þórsmörk) is one of the most attractive places to travel by bus or powerful SUV. The “Land of the Gods” or the “Valley of Thor”, as the Icelanders call it, attracts travelers with amazing landscapes of untouched nature.

The main treasure of Forsmok Park is ‘Þór´s Wood, one of the most famous forests in Iceland. Low Icelandic birches cover a valley in the southern highlands of Iceland, located between the rivers Krossa, Shrenga and Markarflöt.
Dense forests rare in Iceland grow in the shadow of the age-old glaciers Eyjafjallajokull, Tindfjallajokull and Myrdalsjokull.
