Discovery Marocco in an unforgettable adventure of 7 days and 6 nights through the Casablanca - Marrakesh Route.
Day 1: Casablanca.
We meet at port of Casablanca and travel into the city for the night at your hotel.
Day 2: Casablanca - Rabat - Fez.
After Breakfast in the Riads Hotel, we leave to visit to Hassan Il Mosque (not posible on Fridays or religious holidays), the largest mosque in Africa and decorated with beautiful tiling of the utmost craftsmanship. You may need to queue a while for tickets and the tour takes about an hour.
We continue to the capital city Rabat, were we visit the Hassan tower and the Mausoleum of Mohamed V, built in homage to the king, who passed away in 1961. His son and successor Hassan II, who died in 1999 is also entombed here.
After lunch we head North of Meknes we stop to visit Volubilis to visit de Roman ruins, which are spread over a wide area and afford beautiful views over the valley and hills from the town of Molay Idriss.
We continue to Mekens then to our Hotel in Fez.
Day 3: Fez - Sightseeing.
Enjoy a full day in Sightseeing guided tour in Fez with is the oldest of Morocco's four imperial Cities. The medieval city of Fez El Bali, or Old Fez, remains complete and is unspoiled. During the tour of this part of town, you can visit exotic Bou Inania Medersa, the Medina and the Kairaouine Mosque, where you may take a photos of the wonderful courtyard from the main gate as well as the famous souks as Madersa - Kairaouine Andalouisie Mosque - Plaza Neijjarine & art craft Mena- Mérenos graves - Royal palace and the Potery neighborhood.
In the afternoon you can visit fest El Did or News Fez and the Museum of Moroccan Arts.
The night is spend in the riad.
Day 4: Fez - Merzouga.
Departure from Fez at 8 o'clock, traveling via Azrou, where you can see Barbary apes in the cedar forest of the Middle Atlas. Lunch is in Midelt, The apple capital, at the foot of the Ayachi Montain.
We continue over the Tizi - n - Talremt pass and through the Ziz Valley,wich is particularly well - known for its palm trees and the length of the oasis. All along the road there are innumerable Ksars, small villages of individual houses. From here we reach Er Rachidia and then Erfoud, famous for its date festival and fossils.
Once you reach the bivouac in Erg Chebbi, you will be greeted with glass of tea and have time to wander the dunes before the sunset.
Dinner is served and followed by an evening of music and the night in a nomad tend.
Day 5: Merzouga - Draa valley - Ouarzazate - Marrakesh.
If you wake up early enough, you can watch the spectacle of the sunrise, when the cooler of the dunes and the play of shadows are an awesome sight.
The itinerary continues to the Draa valley via the village of Tazzarine.
We drive bedside Saghro monutains for to explore along the Draa Valley towards Agdez, passing oases and Kasbahs, beside the river.
The oldest Kasbahs, Kasbahs Tamnougalte, in the Draa Valley is situated near Agdez, and you will have some time to visit it. Some parts lie in ruins and some parts are still fully occupied.
The last part of the days is journey is across the Tzi - n - Tinfifite pass to Ouarzazate. Here we will visit Kasbah Taourirt in the town and with belonged to the Glaoui family, the Pashas of Marrakesh.
Driving north to Ait Ben Haddou, with also belonged to the Lords of Atlas, the Glaoui family. This is the most famous Kasbah in Morocco and UNESCO word heritage site.
After lunch the road then continues along the Ounila Valley with beautiful and prosperous villages, stunning mountains and views to Telouet, where you will stop to visit the Kasbah and perhaps have lunch. Alternatively lunch will be in the mountains!
We reach Marrakesh at the end of the afternoon.
Day 6: Marrakesh - Sightseeing.
Marrakesh is probably best known for central Djemma el Fan with its juice stalls, dried fruit and nut stalls, women applying henna, snake charmers, story sellers and the myriad of nightly food stalls.
We will visits the following places according to time and inclination; the Majorelle Gardens with belonged to Yves St. Laurent and is famous for its special shade of blue, the Koutoubia Mosque, el Bahia Palace with means the palace of the beautiful, the Qoranic School, the Ben Youssef Medersa wich used to house some 80 Qoranic students and the Saadian Tombs.
Day 7: Marrakesh.
Free day the Journey back to Menara Airport.
It is advisable to wear walking shoes and sunscreen, a hat, long thin clothing, and warm clothing for nights in the mountains. Personal items, camera, cash.
For this trip in which you will visit the mountains and dunes, the best season is spring. Since the maximums are tolerable and there is less chance of snow at heights above 1.000 meters.
