Together we will enjoy the following itinerary:
DAY 01. PALOPO - TORAJA
Pick up in Palopo.
We will go directly to Toraja from the port or airport of the city of Palopo.
We will pass through the villages of the Bugis ethnic group and have lunch in Parepare.
After lunch we will continue the trip and rest in front of the erotic mountain (Sejarah Gunung Nona Enrekang) to stretch our legs while enjoying the indescribable landscape and drinking coffee or local tea.
We will arrive at the hotel in the afternoon, we will check in and rest.
DAY 02. EXCURSION IN TORAJA
After breakfast we will go to visit the typical towns of Toraja such as the town of Lemo to see the niches in the rock where the dolls are on the balcony.
This is a special place to bury blue blood families.
We will visit the Sanggalla village (Kambira), you will know how babies are buried in the trunk of the "living tree".
We will go to a typical house to see how the Torajas live.
We will also visit the Tampang Allo village. We will go to the small cave to see the old coffins and wooden dolls.
We will have lunch and continue our excursion visiting the town of Ketekesu, where we will see the old houses known as Tongkonan and they are the symbol of the community of the Toraja family and we return to our hotel.
DAY 03. TORAJA
We will leave the hotel heading north of Tana Toraja and climb the mountain, but before arriving we will stop at the town of Bori to see the menires and large niches.
We will continue visiting the town of Tinimbayo and Batutumonga with phenomenal viewpoints from which we can see the city of Rantepao.
We will have lunch and then we will go for a gentle walk to pass in front of truly wonderful landscapes.
We return to Rantepao and rest.
DAY 04. TORAJA - PALOPO
After checking out at the hotel, we will leave for Palopo.
We will stop again in front of the erotic mountain to stretch our legs and continue the trip to Pare-Pare where we will have lunch and in the afternoon we will arrive in Palopo directly to the port or airport of the city.
Note: Although funeral ceremonies in Toraja are frequent, it is not possible to guarantee that a celebration is taking place at the time of your visit.
